Lake Fabrèges

Lac de Fabrèges is a scenic mountain reservoir in the Ossau valley of the French Pyrenees, framed by forested slopes and the striking peak of the Pic du Midi d'Ossau.

From the lakeside, visitors can board the Artouste cable car and connect to the famous little mountain train, one of the highest in Europe, for breathtaking views over the high peaks. The area is a paradise for hikers, with trails suited to all levels leading into the surrounding mountains. The calm waters invite fishing and quiet walks along the shore, while the crisp alpine setting makes it an ideal spot for photography and simply soaking up the grandeur of the Pyrenees.
